Some of My Work Pt. 3
December 13th, 2006
As enjoyable as it was to take the time to film all of these videos, there was also a lot of work involved.
Taking the rough footage, and piecing it together at just the right times — cutting away from the main shot to cover mistakes, and trying to keep the interest there (especially the video in Pt. 1. Pt. 2 is all a static shot! No editing was possible) — is a difficult process, but one I really enjoy.
I first learned how to do all these things while spending my internship in Plymouth, IN. The church’s highly underpaid “tech-guy” showed me how to make the magic happen. I am not a professional by any stretch — but I sure do enjoy it.
After completing the cutting of the previous videos, I decided to create a “gag-reel” or “bloopers” as they’re called.
Please, before watching this, make sure you have seen both of the videos in Pt. 1 and Pt. 2.
You can hear the voice of Mr. Paul Brown on all of the cut-away scenes. Cutting and piecing the final product involved removing his voice, overlaying the main audio track, fading, changing the lighting, and a lot more.
My goal is to get a camera like that of Paul Brown to be able to do much more of this work. One day, perhaps…
I hope you’ve enjoyed these. I’ve got a couple more that I’ve done that were not quite as technically challenging to create. I will post theme sometime, I’m sure.

Some of My Work Pt. 2
December 12th, 2006
This piece is titled, “The Wesleyan Moffia”.
Again, the Brain Child of Tony Casey. Inspiration comes from Watson Black — the Strong Arm of the NC West District for many a year.
Same credit goes to the same men listed in the previous post.
Enjoy:

Some of My Work Pt. 1
December 12th, 2006
I’m sitting at Panera Bread in Asheville, NC eating Chicken and Wild Rice Soup and drinking coffee.
I’ve decided to share with you all some of my work - comedy/video work, that is!
I always enjoy making movies — it’s amazing how easily one can create and edit a video with just a little bit of work.
The following video was filmed nearly a year ago in South Carolina. It was made for the South Carolina Pastor’s Gathering.
As the Brain Child of Tony Casey - it took off and was developed with the help of the very talented Paul Brown.
It stars Tony Casey as the head “Corrupted Counter”, Steve Stanley and Jon Galloway as the “Sidekicks”, and yours truly as the next victim of the Corrupted Counting ways.
Please sit back, relax, and enjoy the insanity that ensues:

Bring Back the Warrior
December 7th, 2006
I’ll never forget the day that I saw Micah Haithcock walk down the hall of the dorm wearing his dad’s jacket. It was amazing. SWU blue with yellow lettering, and there standing proudly on the front — the SWU Warrior.
Since those “good ol’ days” the warrior has vanished. There are many different theories on how and why, but that’s not the point.
The point is this:
It’s time to bring the warrior back.
There was never a prouder day than when Claudio, the soccer coach, would stand with his guitar and start singing the chorus of a Caedmon’s Call song, “The Lord is a Warrior — The Lord is Righteous in Battle…”
Every school needs their mascot - SWU is no exception. So today you have the wonderful opportunity to jump on board — to share your thoughts — to help the movement that is — The Warrior!

Happy Thanksgiving
November 23rd, 2006
Aside from Easter (simply for the fact that Christ died for us), Thanksgiving has to be my favorite holiday for the simple reason that it isn’t commercialized. No one puts giant inflatable turkeys in their front yards, or string up cornucopia lights. The meaning hasn’t been lost, generation after generation like Christmas. It’s a time that is spent with families, simply being thankful.
So, in the spirit of thanks and good cheer I wish you a happy Thanksgiving, and leave you with a picture that was sent to my Uncle David titled “Where’s Tom”.
