The Hebrews Term Paper (as promised)
February 28th, 2008
Here’s the writing prompt:
Consider whether the book of Hebrews is a call for Jewish Christians to progress in the Christian life by entering into entire sanctification by the Spirit through faith (rather than a continuation of Jewish ritual). Note especially chapters 4-6 and 9=10. In other words is it dealing with the same issues as Galatians, although in a more complex and nuanced way? Is the writer concerned that the readers will turn away from faith in Christ, or is he concerned that they will try to add Jewish ritualism to that faith, and is calling them to a better way?
See this blog’s previous post to see Dr. Oswalt’s response and grade. Comments welcome.

Good paper! Seems to me that you answered the prompt - but then again, what kind of scholar am I? ;)
