Lots of Stuff (repost)

Moon

Shew! It has been a busy last half of the week. Wednesday night, there was the Lunar Eclipse. The most “popular” of the pictures I took and posted on Flicker (you can see my account here) is posted above. I really don’t know why it turned out blue - I didn’t try to make it look like that…but that’s what it did, and it’s pretty, so I won’t complain. I also spent Wednesday working on some improvements to www.scwesleyan.org. I need to get up with the DS & his wife/secretary and inform them of all the changes. My work on that took from 9:30 in the morning until 8:00 that night. That site takes a big chunk of my time, but it is something that I enjoy putting together. I won’t go into all the gory details - but suffice it to say - the majority of that time was wrestling with HTML & PHP code…

Thursday was an office day. I worked with one of the men in the church to clean up some junk that had gathered. Why are churches junk traps? It was a good day, and I was able to spend that evening with Ashlee.Yesterday, I spent all day at the NC West district’s camp, South Mountain. I worked with a fellow pastor on marking property boundaries. we started at 9am, and got home at 7pm. Long day of battling my way through briars and woods, but we found a lot of the property line. Incase you don’t already know - the camp ground is huge. We have now spent 2 whole days working on marking boundaries, and I would dare to say that it will take another two to get it done. OH! I found a bunch of cow bones and my first thought was, “Ashlee would love these!” It’s great to have a sometimes girly/sometimes geeky wife! :)

This morning, I’ve just woken up, and checked e-mail. I got my term paper grade from the class I took in January this morning. The professor writes (and I quote, including his typos…),

It is a well-written paper, adequately research, and clearly organized. If the assignment had been to explore the attitude of the writer to sacrifice, priesthood and ritual, it would have been an A paper. Unfortunately, that was not the assignment at all. I could not help but feel that when you came to write the paper you did not look at the instructions that I passed out in class. As the result, the paper grade is C-

Gurr! I had the instructions there with me the whole time! In another post, I will post the paper instructions and my final draft and let you, my readers, give me a grade. My biggest problem with this is that the instructions were “big paragraph” long, and the paper had to be 10 pages or less (including bibliography!)! Oh well. More on that later I guess.

In an hour, we will be headed to my in-laws’ for the day. Hope you have a great Saturday. Give me a “Goody’s Powder” and I might be alright…
